More About The Mason Jar

We live in a world where chemicals and plastic are the answer. There are very few family oriented business and many of the bigger companies do not have good values. The truth is that we are exposed every day to harmful products, chemicals in our food, and a lot more things that are affecting us all in many ways. If you do not look you will not find this out. The more you look the more your mind will be blown with the truth about the food we eat, the chemicals absorbed from the clothing we are wearing, red 40 dye linked to behavioral issues and so much more.

In 2019 my husband and I decided to figure out our health and take our lives into our hands. While on this health journey we learned a lot about the food provided in stores and what to look for in labels. This made us cautious of food and began our informational journey on how toxic or beneficial food can really be.

As a mom my responsibility is to make sure my children are safe and that I am providing them with a fulfilling childhood that will help them prosper in the future. My daughter showed signs of having reactions to many things at an extremely young age such as diapers, wipes, lotions and soaps. We decided to try natural products which worked best for her. After doing research we discovered a lot about the products provided for children and ourselves. It really opened up our eyes and began our natural preference journey.

While our kids are growing up both my husband and I have been doing a lot of research exposing what is truly in the products we are using such as our dish soap, shampoo and conditioner, cleaning products, vitamins and more. We also moved to Clarion, PA where we discovered how limited our area is to products without additives, chemicals and toxins. I was doing research into laundry products to purchase that would be good to use with my family and not keep me up at night thinking about what was in them. I came across Rustic Strength. I checked out their website, Instagram and Facebook. Their website specifically led me to learn about Refilleries. I had no idea what a Refillery was but I was determined to find out.

After thinking about this idea and envisioning what I would like my store to look like I brought up the topic to my husband. I told him I really wanted to plan to open up a Refillery with a 3 year plan. However, in our case things don't go as planned. I then started planning every single small detail for this business I wanted to open. I also took classes with the Small Business Development Center. I continued to work on this idea for about a year and sat down with a consultant with the SBDC. After talking I decided it might be best to just go with it and start of small to potentially turn into the store I dreamed of having. I didn't want to put all my eggs in one basket.

So here we are today. With a small business that does not have a physical location but sells are events in the area. I am extremely thankful for my husband for supporting me while I decided last minute to get this business going a whole not early than planned, for helping me out at events and just believing in me and what I am doing. Thank you to my friends who have been with me through all the chaos, love me and encouraged me, to my family for supporting me and getting excited with me, and to all of you who are sharing our posts, liking our postings, commenting, contributing and purchasing. Without everyone this amazing business would not have been possible.
